The IM=X Pilates Mat course teaches the personal trainer/group instructor NEW routines based on pilates exercise. IM=X has been called “the strength training version of Pilates” by Fitness Magazine; and is known for its unique choreography. Learn the principles of IM=X Pilates — spinal decompression, forced exhalation, postural adjustments, pelvic, ribcage and spine stabilization — and the eight sequences of choreography that allow you to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced class formats. Program uses the Ring and Body Bar to increase resistance. The 120-page certification manual includes photos and step-by-step instructions. DVDs are included and illustrate a wide variety of routines so you and your clients stay challenged. Participants are required to complete 20 practice hours and take a Practical Exam via Skype or in-person ($125) to receive a certificate. Note: Registration payment includes a non-refundable $150 fee. Cancellations must be made 3 weeks or more before the course for credit minus the $150 non-refundable fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations or schedule changes made within three weeks prior to the course date.
